FTP Toolkit FAQ
There is a Read Timeout.vi and Write Timeout.vi that was not included in the palatte. You can however find these vi's in the directory structure where the FTP toolkit is installed. You can locate the vi's in the following directory: <LabVIEW>/vi.lib/EvaluMation, LLC/FTP Toolkit/FTP Class/.
These vi's will be added to the VI Tree and the palatte in the next release.
This is a known error that occurs with FTP 7.5 on Windows 8 Server.
- Download the FTP-Toolkit Fix001.zip file and extract its contents.
- Replace the files in the directory "C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2012\ vi.lib\EvaluMation, LLC\FTP Toolkit\FTP Class" with the files from the zip file.
If you need further assistance, please contact us for a resolution.
This will be fixed in the next release.
In the first revision of the software, the remove directory vi just sends a RMD command to the ftp server. This command will cause the server to return an error message stating that the directory cannot be deleted because the directory contains files.
We have since created a method to recursively remove a directory. It was written in LabVIEW 2013 and is available here. Be sure to set "Recursively?" to true when you want to delete the directory and all of its contents.
This vi will become a part of the FTP Toolkit on the next release.
Yes, the FTP-Toolkit works nicely in 64 bit LabVIEW. We support LabVIEW 2011 and later for 64 bit LabVIEW.
